I always understood Kay’s comments to be making fun of how objectified women are in the car world, but then again, it’s my view and it isn’t universal... without context saying “hey, this is so ridiculous!” your conclusion is more plausible and valid. But how should we congratulate the COTD winner instead?

I don’t know what $kay’s perspective is, but I think most people don’t view the posted pictures with any nuance or irony.

I’d say the congratulations could be a picture of a great and possibly relevant car. Too bad Blondude is too busy.

I’m down with an Oppo COTD! That said, the last time an Oppo COTD was pitched, it ultimately was trashed because most of Oppo’s ladies (and others generally not interested in seeing those pics) very much didn’t like it.

So, an Oppo award would have to be something different.

Just hoping to provide some constructive feedback. I think that if users can scroll through 3 pages of shitposts to find a good comment, they can scroll through 3 pages to find the nomination post.

Curious if there will be one COTD every day or if there might be days without a the award. Might be cool to give a shout to the best quality Oppo post of the day too! Keep that sort of Embiggen Days mentality of good content rolling.

I’m always open to new ideas, and POTD sounds like a good idea. Alas, I have only so much time and don’t think I’ll be able to do both... Maybe switching off between COTD and POTD every other day?
